I am doing some research on the above mentioned issue and was wondering if any of you might have scans of any of these cards that you can post and also if anyone has any insightful information that they can provide, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

All I know about this rarity is that it was produced in 1889 by the MacIntire Bros. Fotografers Studio at 1528 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia. There were other similar team issues that year from other "fotografers" of other baseball cities.

Interesting topic. Can you share an example, front and back, together with what you are hoping to learn about the issue?

Joe:

Unfortunately, I don't have one to provide an example of. I was hoping one of the board members might be able to provide scans. Basically, I am looking to find out year(s) of issue along with names of players currently known to have been produced.

Of course you have one Jim. Acutally, you have at least 3 as follows (all portraits in formal suits):

Joe:

You are correct, Jim actually has 4 including the Harry Wright pictured 1888-89 in addition to the three that you mentioned.

Jim:

Thank you very much for showing your collection, your assistance is invaluable to me.

Phil

Love rare Phillies like this...very tough cabinets.

I love the Clements card. He was the last full time lefty catcher if I recall.
