Default 2015 favorite pick ups?

ETA: happy with this partially because a friend got it for me at an event where Hatton was in attendance and sent it to me as a gift w/o advance notice. I opened an envelope and there it was.

Default First year in many, many years ...

... In which I did not cross off even one vintage autograph name on my want list. Also the least amount spent on autographs during an entire year since I began my autograph collecting quest 20 or so years ago.

But of the few items purchased, the dual teams signed International League baseball by the 1941 Milwaukee and Kansas City minor league teams rates near the top. Hoping for better success in 2016. And a better year for many personal reasons. 2015 claimed too many family members and friends.

Peace and joy to all of you.

I can't really decide, so I'll just throw out one of my favorites from 2015. Rare letter that actually shows Neil Armstrong's dry humor and has NASA content. By far, the vast majority of Armstrong letters have routine "I am sorry I cannot attend your event" content.

If that Leaf Dimaggio was an eBay pickup earlier this year, it's the one I've been kicking myself on missing ever since.

Here are some of my favorites from this year. Some a bit more modern.

Yep, it was indeed an eBay buy. It was a couple weeks after winning a lesser example, and I almost didn't bid. I remember putting in my max and being surprised I was not sniped at the last second.

Love that '69 Bench, that's such a great looking card... far better looking than his rookie.

I thought it looked familiar. Love that Jackie too. Good luck in 2016!

That Jackie Robinson is spectacular. As is the Wilt Chamberlain

Default Signed T206s

It had been 8 years since a signed T206 card I was not aware of appeared in a sale or otherwise. This year brought three - Frank Baker, Jesse Tannehill, and Red Murray, the latter two of which I reeled in. My first new signed T206 poses in three years!

Thanks for the compliments, and good luck in 2016 as well.

I was lucky to land the Robinson, it had one of those random mid-week end times.

Andrew-- love the Waner! Hope your signed DS collection is coming along well.

Started adding checks this year, got three biggies (to me.) If I could control myself, instead of buying small lots in every auction, I'd save up and buy a Ruth check. But self-control really isn't my thing.

I was happy to finally add DiMaggio, Williams, and Mantle to my collection.

I also really enjoy this Willie Mays signed book. Love the inscription in his handwriting. It's in a Little League book from the 1970s, wish I knew the story behind it.

The Elvis is far and away my favorite, but since it's not baseball I thought I'd include a couple of those- both acquired here. Mays stat ball and a really nice Williams signed photo.

I have recently started collecting AAGPBL memorabilia. These pieces I picked up late in 2015 are my new centerpieces to that collection. Very happy to have them.

Two favorite autographs has to be my signed Dihigo piece and this-A signed Harry Wright scorecard. Not that the scorecards is that rare, although a full name Harry Wright is not that common, so much as it captures my hometown Detroit Wolverines baseball team.
