Dodgers Autograph Help (Campanella, Hodges, +)
I have always had trouble with some of the really good clubhouse and wife signed Dodgers autographs of the 1950’s and just wanted some reassurance with these. The item was from Leland’s and has a letter from Mike Heffner.
Here are some of the keys (photos attached). Any opinions/help? Thanks sincerely in advance! Last edited by 1treasuretrove; 08-09-2018 at 08:16 PM. |

The “R” in “Roy” isn’t his typical formation, although the slant looks okay. Just looking for some reassurance.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Campanella. The R looks way too fancy (as well as the C). Also, I liked the Hoak at first glance, but on reflection the D seems way off and the A in Hoak is almost always completely formed, but not here.

Is Mike Heffner reputable?

Thanks guys - how do the Hodges and Gilliam look?
I see the Snider matches up exactly to a “Brow” batboy example I found. The Hodges doesn’t match his, so I was hoping on a few. I will be returning this one for sure. Guy has the Leland’s receipt with it and a letter from Hefner, so I guess he can try to get a refund on his end after I return it. Last edited by 1treasuretrove; 08-12-2018 at 06:26 PM. |
