Braggo Roth, Larry Chappell and Ed Klepfer.

Three early 20th century players who never amounted to much.

The early equivalent of Brian Asselstine, Buzz Capra and Brad Komminsk.

BUT... does anybody know what historical fact they have in common???

Hal you forgot to mention the 4th player in that trade. Joey Largesumofcash

Braggo Roth wasnt as bad as any of those guys you mentioned and Ed Klepfer should have an asterisks next to his name because he was 14-4 one year, spent the next year in the military and then lost his pitching form and was nothing after that

Roth himself actually outplayed Jackson the first 3+ years of the trade and then they turned around and traded him alone for Larry Gardner,Charles Jamieson and a pitcher.Gardner and Jamieson put up some big numbers after that trade and we all know what happened to Jackson.I would say the trade worked out well for Cleveland in the long run and the Braggo Roth trade ended more one-sided than the Jackson trade
