If all the steakhouses are still closed up in NYC come on down to Atlanta and eat some nice greasy food at the Varsity.

Michael- I admire your courage to bring this thread up again. I am no longer free Dec 9, but I will watch it closely and see if you can come up with a consensus in less than 400 posts.

I would be happy to get together with a few of the Net54 guys as long as somebody else works it out. I've already paid my penance

Barry I made my trip to NY this week and saw my friend in Brooklyn. Had lunch Novita @ 22nd Park Ave. So., very nice - Italian, near my meeting on Park Ave. Boy am I getting old - stayed at The Kitano $320 for the night and I was told that that was cheep. $20 more than my share of a year's rent on my first apartment in East Cambridge when I was at MIT.

Peter- you should have stopped by and introduced yourself. You probably walked right past my door on the way over.

For your consideration...
1) after New Year's
2) somewhere cheaper than a $150 per person dinner
3) Manhattan (Chinatown/Little Italy maybe?)
4) Saturday

Good luck - you may need it.

What about "Hawaiian Tropic" on 49th & 7th. I'm sure the ambience would be agreeable.

I most likely can make it - and would enjoy meeting everyone.

My wife has me locked up with plans (and shackles) on Friday, Saturday, Sunday through the holidays

Would love to go.

Friday-Saturday no good.

Weekdays doable when not travelling-

Needs to be in midtown Manhattan.

Jim
