Default 1955 Clemente Opinions

Attached is my 1955 Clemente I purchased in 1982 for $40. I am considering getting it graded. Anyone have an opinion of what grade it might get-if the scan is enough to go by.IMG.jpg

Assuming there are no hidden defects the scan doesn't show I would say an SGC 84= 7 , possibly SGC 86 =7.5.

I think that the scan might be cropped too tightly, thus making it appear like a near perfect card. If it really is that perfect, you're talking BIG BUCKS!

The scan does look like it's cropped a little too close so it's tough to tell for sure. Otherwise, the upper right corner looks a bit soft so I'd say maybe a 5.5 or 5 at the worst.

Thanks. Doug is correct I think. Though it looks like the scan is cropped, the corners and edges are great except for that upper right corner. So. I'll pin my hopes on a "5". Thanks guys.

This card doesn't look right to me....Wavy edges, not uniform in wear, something just doesn't seem right with that card...

I think that is because the scan is cropped too tight. The bottom and left borders are not visible.

As a data point for reference, this '55 RC was graded a 4 by PSA:

Hard to pull details out of the scan, but corners here are not nearly as sharp as those on OPs card.

I think a 5. Nice buy back in 82! If you ever sell, you'll get a little more out of it then you have in it.

Looks like a 5 to me if the other 3 corners are better than the top right one.
