Default Brown's Tennessee Rats

I am just getting started trying to piece together some information on this team. A quick search off the web reveals not alot.

Can someone point me in the direction of a good place to get started learning about Negro ball clubs? Does anyone have any information about the Brown's Tennessee Rats?

Thanks
Isaac

Cool photo. There's a little info that will help at the end of this writeup.

"Non-league barnstorming also enjoyed a long history in the South and Midwest. From the early twentieth century into the 1940s, black teams barnstormed Tennessee, often playing ball in the afternoon and providing musical entertainment in the evening. One well-known team, Brown's Tennessee Rats, was based in Warrensburg, Missouri."
