Default NEED HELP HOF Signed Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, etc

Hey guys I would really appreciate if any of you could give your opinion on these signatures on whether or not they are authentic. If they are authentic, do you know a fair price for them? Also, if they aren't authentic could please give a brief explanation (ex. the slant is way off, etc)? Thank you so much!!!brownbrothers baseball hof #1.jpg

Satchel Paige is terrible, FWIW.

Ted Williams also looks bad to me, but I will let other people add their comments on Williams and others. Certainly, several of these signatures appear to be legit.

Here is a genuine example of Satchel's signature from my own personal collection. Compare this to the one you have on the envelope and see for yourself.

I hope this helps!

Looks to me as though there are some legit autos there and someone decided to add in some bigger names. The Robinson and Campy look as if they were drawn in a labored hand, the Williams and Paige look nothing like any legitimate example I've seen. Do a Google search of their signatures and the differences should be readily apparent.

Campanella had his accident by the time these envelopes were produced.. I agree with the others. Some look good, and some look to be added on

This makes me really sad. Some nice authentic signed covers ruined by the fake sigs that were added. Damn shame!
I agree with everyone about Jackie, Williams, Campanella, and Paige. At least the last cover looks pretty good across the board.

I appreciate the responses guys! I guess it is better to stay away from these then? Do you think it is still worth it for the other autos? Maybe I could cut out the good autos?

Seriously??? I wouldn't necessarily call secretarial signatures "forgeries". Robinson does look labored and I would want to see it closer, but the others are non malicious secretarials in my opinion. Doesn't make the item any cleaner, but come on. Jason

I agree. Some good. Some bad. The Williams is way off.

Looks to me like someone sent these covers to the players as most of the signatures look like classic TTM returns.

#1 - the Paige is clearly not good nor is the Williams. From the size and placement, I would judge as likely forgeries (bad ones) put there long after the others.

#2 - The Jackie doesn't look right to me, and again looks added after the others.

#3 - I think the Dimaggio is good but the Campanella is a common secretarial (probably obtained TTM)

#4 is all good. I wouldn't hesitate to buy that one. Is a bit interesting with some of those guys passing away just a couple of years after the cover was issued, notably Hartnett.

Some guy bought the first three and says he "struck gold" and that they are all authentic. He said he doesn't plan on authenticating them either because it costs too much. Watch out if you see these at an auction house!
