Outstanding items. I really like this thread. No wonder I can't find any advertising. Members here have it all . Fairly new to this site. Used to be on Game Used with same name. Hope to post more in the future.

Adam I can remember my local Sam Goody's plastered with Darkness posters. Being from NJ I had a copy of Born to run that was on regular rotation. But to be honest Wild Innocent EStreet Shuffle album was not my cup of tea ( I had listed to but didn't own a copy of Greetings) I bought Darkness and then convinced by someone who is still a friend all these years later I dropped $60 on a 10th row seat at MSG August 1978. Needless to say I was converted.

I can't believe I've never seen this thread before! It is absolutely freaking amazing. I moved locations all morning and was tired. Sat down, and looked at every single post in this thread. Wow. Fantastic pieces. The Frank McCormick Chesterfield and Ival Goodman LS 4foot sign were my favorites.

On another note, I will get my first man cave since I've been married. My wife gave me a room in the house and said she never wanted to see baseball crap in the bedroom again!

Not sure exactly but guessing I’d say 18x24. There’s two different versions. The other has a crown on the Orioles head with World Champs on it.

Thank you for the support. I guess the picture doesn't do it justice, because that carpet has to be 1970s burnt orange; maybe Campbell's tomato soup color. Wish I was an Orioles fan!

Default Toronto Maple leafs First Stanley Cup Ad

Winning the cup brings many extras. This VI-Tone ad is an example. Team loaded with Hall of Famers. And Conn Smyth is the Coach. Happy that items like this are still affordable.

For all you T205 enthusiasts, picked this Honest Long Cut Tobacco advertisement up a few days ago. Measures a whopping 21" x 29" in its original frame.

Default 1970s Armour Meats Special Baseball Offer

Here is one you do not see very often from Armour Meats, which I believe is from the 1970s. The display measures 13.5 In by 10 In. It has two identical sides with a basedball in the middle wrapped in cellophane. Not sure but maybe it was hung from a ceiling and you could see it from different sides. There are no holes in it though. Both sides are the same. Anyway, 4 HoF players are included on the facsimile ball you would mail in for with a $1. I have never seen this before. Has anyone seen it and can you tell me the year? I am a huge Brooks fan, which was my interest in the display.

Thank you and happy collecting.

It's great when people post items showing players many of us may not know much about, so it sends us immediately to Wikipedia to get a (hopefully non-biased) look at the guy's career and life. Today, it was Harry Heilmann. Pretty frickin' cool.
And great piece!!!!

Thank you fellas!

Heilmann is a top-tier HOFer. It probably limited his popularity with collectors, having his career squished between the T206 and Goudy eras... with no cards in either set.

Poor Harry!

I didn’t realize until just now that Heilmann…

A. Hit .403 one year, and had .393, .394 and .398 seasons as well (leading the AL each of those years)

B. Spent his last 2 years with the Reds.

An under-appreciated HOFer!

Default Nolan Ryan 1984 Gulfpride Oil Rebate Promo POP Display

Here is a great local pickup that I'm very excited about.
This is a really tough Nolan Ryan Gulfpride Oil rebate promo POP display from 1984.
I've had the tear-off rebate coupons for years, but have never had the opportunity to add the actual advertising POP display until now.
It only took 39 years to locate one. Go figure...

Welcome aboard!

Very large piece (measures 27" X 21") circa 1890's lithograph Nelson Morris & Co. original advertisement - Pigs Playing Baseball.

There is a lot going on in the background of this image. Pigs in tree's, pigs in windows, pigs on top of buildings, pigs peeking through the outfield wall. All just to catch a glimpse of the game. Love it!

With its original matching card sharing the same image.
