Default Mike Trout custom project

Hey everybody. Just wanted to share a little project i've been working on. I'm up to 56 different Mike Trout cards from 1957-1991. Fronts and backs, full stats and write ups. Any suggestions for ones I'm missing?

https://imgur.com/a/AQtcL

I'm sorry the pictures aren't better.

Awesome stuff, did you put them on card stock?

That's a sweet project! Are you going to do earlier cards like a t206, Goudey, or '48 Bowman? Those would be really cool 😊

The final product is sort of an evolving thing. As I have it now they end up being just about as thick as a regular card. Maybe a touch thicker for the ones with white backs.

Ha! You should have made his 1961 Topps hatless so he would fit in!

Topps should hire you. They use the same 5 images, or so it seems, on every Trout card

Nice work!

Really cool. I love the fact that you've put it in a binder.

You could even go back and create variations for kicks (White letters, blackless, NNOF, Desert shield stamping (if you can do that)...

I used to feel that customs were going to mess up the hobby, but honestly they have more of a personal touch that the hobby has lost with Topps printing left and right. Do you date your cards or add your own signature/logo somewhere on the back?

Those are awesome. And you did a great job selecting photos that seem to be similar to photos that were used on those year cards.

Thanks. I've thought about all the different variations. I have a similar project with Rickey Henderson. I made a 58 white letter for him. I don't leave any marks identifying that I made them. The more indistinguishable the better I feel.

Thanks! I definitely make an effort to stay away from action shots on the early ones, etc. It's really hard to find posed shots obviously. Swinging, fielding a grounder. No real reason to take those anymore. The 62 specifically, it looked just like Mantle's picture so I used the same background.

Thanks for the kind words everybody! It's really appreciated. I got sick of waiting for next year's Heritage so I made the All-Star Set. https://imgur.com/a/leutv

I don't see a 67 Topps in there. Did I miss it?

Nope. You're right. 67, 68 and 73 are the missing ones. I've made fronts for them, just haven't gotten around to the backs yet.

I want to second this. Really good job with set-appropriate photo selections. I'm pretty sure I remember pulling that 86 card from a pack thirty years ago.
