I just watched a recent episode of Dark Side of the Ring about Doink the Clown. There were actually three grapplers that wrestled as Doink, but the first, best and most famous was Matt Borne. Borne was a legit wrestler when he assumed the identity of the Prince of Pranks. He learned the business from his father, Tough Tony Borne who was a big name wrestler in his day.

As with most subjects of Dark Side, Matt had his demons.
