Default O/T - Henderson, Rice make HOF

I really think Bonds, Clemens and Sosa aren't going to get in so easily if they do at all. I think the steroid era has really marred their chances, and I am glad it will. I would say Biggio and Piazza should get in out of that bunch.

Yup, it looks like the class of 2013 looks to have Biggio and Piazza as (almost) locks. If Big Mac can't make it how could the voters explain the others (Bonds, Clemens, Sosa)? It's just sad about Bonds because he was so talented before he "allegedly" took to using banned substances.

Default O/T - Henderson, Rice make HOF

My personal favorite went back to his early years in Oakland. An end of season audit determined that the team's books were out of balance by $1,000,000. After investigation they found Rickey had gotten a bonus check at the start of the season. He thought it looked so cool, he had framed it and never cashed it.

(Later in his career he failed to cash another bonus check from the Yankees. When asked about it, he said he was waiting for money market rates to go up.)
