Default Jacob Ruppert signatures

I have been looking to maybe buy a Jacob Ruppert check, but was wondering if there had ever been any concerns about Ed Barrow signing those.

Here is a contract with Ruppert that was signed by Barrow.

Checks for Ruppert to an untrained eye like mine don't look that far off from the Barrrow one on that contract.

If anyone is willing to share knowledge, I'd love to be educated.

Barrow-signed Ruppert signatures are very easy to recognize. They look just like Barrow's handwriting. In particular, the "R" in Ruppert is formed just like the "B" in Barrow.
That said, I have never seen a Ruppert/BarrowYankee payroll check that wasn't actually signed by Ruppert. Barrow's proxy signature seems to appear only on contracts.
