Hello,

My Boys and I now only need 182 cards to complete our raw 1975-1979 Topps, 1981 Topps Traded and 1977 OPC Baseball card sets(we completed years 1974, 1980-82 Topps) .

We have many singles (1974-1981 Topps & 1984 Donruss) or starter sets (Topps 1974-559 cards, 1975-226 cards, 1976-376 cards, 1981-531 cards & Donruss 1984-505 cards) available for trade. Most of the cards we now need are stars, so we would be happy to send all or whatever you need in trade. We would like Ex-Mt or better and our duplicates average about the same condition (1976 closer to NM, and 1981 & 1984D NM or better).

Hello to all,

I just wanted to say thank you to fellow board member jbonie (Jamie) who sent us a 1976 Topps Dave Winfield PSA 8 card and wouldn't accept anything back in trade... what a generous person, thank you very much Jamie!

Now if I can just figure out how to remove the card without damaging it?

Mike:

To remove a card from a slab, this is what I do:

1. Put the card on a towel in one of the corners of a table
2. Hold the card firmly with my left hand
3. With my right hand, use a pair of pliers to break away each corner of the holder. (I typically turn my head as I break the corners because pieces go flying everywhere.)
4. Find the corner with the most damage and slip a long flathead screwdriver in that corner
5. Once inserted, gently push the screwdriver along the edge of the holder to break the seal. Gently rotate and incline the screwdriver as you push.
6. Repeat along the other edges until the seal on all edges has been broken

I just wanted to say thank you once again to fellowboard member, IJustLoveCards (Felicia) who sent us some terrific 1975 Topps cards... thank you very much, Felicia!

We now only need 14 cards to complete our favorite set and just 182 total to complete years 1974-1982 Topps & 1977 OPC Baseball card sets.

Thanks again, Felicia and all those who have helped us this past year... we started the year needing more than 800 total cards.
