Default '47-'66 Exhibit question

I'm gonna try to put a Exhibit set together with as many variations as
possible.Does anyone know of a web site that has a list with all the variations?
I have been using the Standard Catalog so far,and wondered if that
had all variations.
Also,if anyone has any they want to get rid of,let me know.

Good luck with the Exhibit set Steve, its a fun set to collect. As far as your question, im not sure there is really is a checklist that everyone agrees with as there are a ton of variations and not everyone wants them considered. I had the number around 336, with minimal variations for my set.

The biggest issues is between black and white vs brown/sepia print if you consider them both variations then you will be looking for over 350+ cards, same goes for those printed with different size "Made in the USA" as well as those with "Printed in the USA" versions, those would put you over 400 different cards. If that is what you are considering, Fred and Adam here on the boards are the only people I know working on many of those variations but I not sure they are even trying for them all.

Good luck!

w/any postwar exhibit sets it kind of depends on how deep you want to go with it. ESCO printed the same cards year after year while dropping and adding players throughout the years. If you really want to chase printing variations you can find a lot of minuscule shading variations from year to year. I've personally never found that kind of chase to be rewarding. At most I might get the black and white vs. sepias or pick up an especially brown looking card, or pick up a cad that for some reason shows some of the 'dots' at an edge between cards. Mostly I tend to stick to obvious 'gross' changes: different cropping, different tag lines, different typefaces, different poses, team changes, artwork changes, etc.
