Bid on a few, but won only one...

Johnny Vander Meer Spring Training 1948.
This photo was used to create the 1948 Bowman Vandy card

Default yee

I picked up a pic of connie mack tutoring dykes, Cronin, and Cochrane.
It will look great on the section of my office wall which displays the managerial greats from the 'ancient' times.

best,
barry

I was especially taken with the Yankee Stadium photo in this group when I first looked through all of the lots.

I picked up this Yee photo, only because one of the mugs was part of my REA win. The timing on the Yee auction was perfect. Accidentally.

Jeff, that pic of Mack is fabulous. For such an ugly dude, he sure was photogenic - he certainly knew how to choose his attire, how to pose for the camera and he looked great in any hat, or sans hat.

Yes, I always picture him standing in front of a barn with a pitchfork.

Switch the barn for a castle and you've got a typical net54 member during an auction house discussion.

Default Wow

Guess I wasn't the only one who thought this slide in the auction was one of the best looking baseball images ever seen from the post-war era.
