Default Who the heck are all these guys?

I count 55 guys in this Old Timers' day panorama from 1922. Would love the board's help in figuring out who all these guys are! Young, Chance, Evers, Wheat, LaChance and O'Brien are in here somewhere.

Here's what I have so far... (From left to right). Please cut n paste list and add/edit spots and put your name next to the player. Member with the most correct designations wins a Beals Becker T206 psa 4.5. Here's a link to a larger image: https://www.christies.com/img/LotIma...160&width=3160 . CLICK PIC TO ENLARGE!

I can't totally help with player ID's, as I've been in the same boat for a few years since I have the same panorama. (Mine is chopped off at each end and is missing about 1/3 of the picture, but it used to belong to Nuf Ced McGreevy, so those factors offset a bit for me, but I digress.)

But I do have a couple of Boston Globe articles about the game, which do help since they list all of the players who were in attendance that day. They're attached here....

That gets you halfway there to ID'ing the guys - now we just need to figure out which is which. So I guess that earns me half the Becker card??

24 is actually Ray Collins who was 6'1 while Carrigan was 5'9.

RUKen in the lead so far! Thanks for input gents. We knocked out a few.

Scott S thanks for the newspaper articles (now we just need to put names to faces). Would love to see your panorama. Very cool that you know the provenance. I think these were given out only to the players so would love to know which player mine was given to. Christie's also didn't call out that this was a Carl Horner photo. I didn't notice that in the pic when I was bidding.

Though he probably did not play, Kid Nichols was mentioned as having attended...man, I would have loved to see him pitch!

...and Cy also, of course.

Thanks AJ - here's a pic of mine - best I have at the moment. You'll see the hand lettering in the lower left corner - noting the years of Boston's World Series wins. I always found it interesting that nothing was done to note the difference between Red Sox wins vs. Braves wins - they were all just "Boston". And love that it says "Nuf Ced" on the front.

Also, the Horner name was in the portion of the right end that got chopped off (wonder why each end was trimmed - space?). So it was hand-written in. Neat touch.

The back of the original framing also notes Nuf Ced's initials (MTM) and his home address - maybe it was delivered to him after framing?

Having a few items which were personally owned by Nuf Ced, that's why I really wanted to add the cabinet photo of him from the Christie's auction.

Maybe it would help if the original poster would superimpose the order number of the players on the picture.

RUKen great find! Your google skills are unmatched. :-)

You win the Becker! PM me your address.

It's funny though Christie's write-up lists the following players in the pic. (Don't see Wheat or Chance!)

Includes Hall of Famers Cy Young, Nap Lajoie, Frank Chance, Johnny Evers, Zach Wheat, Jimmy Collins and standouts Bill Carrigan, Buck O'Brien, Candy LaChance, and Nick Altrock
