Not sure if this is what you mean, but if you get a phishing email looking like it is from Paypal you can forward it to spoof@paypal.com:

Go to the site, and don't follow links in emails. Fake emails are common.

and you can report it but unfortunately I do not believe they can do anything about it (or at least they do not update us)

And don't call the numbers in the emails, as they are not to the company but the fishers.

A real email communication from PayPal will ALWAYS address you BY YOUR NAME. If the letter starts out "Dear PayPal Customer" or "PayPal Account Holder" or anything that fails to address you by name... it's a spoof email.

Just don't open it, delete it immediately, and move on.

Also, most spoofs don't use (or link to) the company address or website.

paypal@aol.com is clearly different than info@paypal.com

There are cases when an email is clearly legitimately from the company, such as when REA sends you an email saying you've been outbid on a lot you bid on.

But, when in doubt, go to the website, login and check there. And just know that there are many spoof emails for many big companies out there.
