A T206 Plank psa 6 (mc) just sold at auction for 102,000 dollars. WOW. T206 prices just keep going up.

That MC qualifier was way too harsh. Bring it down to an EX maybe but qualifiers kill cards values. And if the card was miscut into the name and team designation it just barely was. Thats why i like sgc better with this kind of thing, a little more understanding.

Plank already was in the T206 100K club...

about 7 years ago the PSA 8 example sold in a Masrto's auction for $200K (i believe)

The psa8 plank did go for just over 200k back in 99? I must be getting old. Still an amazing price on the psa 6 (mc).

I heard through the grapevine that the PSA 8 has since been sold again for over 400k. Others might know more details.

Wasn't Tom Candiotti involved in that transaction? I remember reading about his collection in an issue of PSA's magazine, so I don't think I'm revealing any secrets.

Tom Candiotti owned it. It is in PSA top 200 book. in the same auction, was a magie 7, demmitt 8, o'hara 7, elberfeld 8, many many 9's...the southern league 9's were selling for only $1000 each. there was a lot of 28- 9's that sold for $27K...imagine what they are worth now...wow!
