Default New Member - E210 Question

My interest in cards has been rekindled, after an extended absence from the hobby. Now, though, I am directing my collecting efforts solely toward vintage cards.

In the PSA CardFacts article on the E210 Type 1 cards, the author states that it "is viewed as the only true “E” series." (Nothing like making an intriguing statement, and not elaborating on it. )

I'd be interested in hearing more on how one caramel set among many (and a late-comer at that) comes to be viewed as the only true one.

Welcome from another in North Texas.......

As for the statement, to me it sounds ignorant and incorrect. I would like to hear the justification though....

Welcome back to the hobby!

I have no idea what that statement means, not sure how the E90-1, E120 and E121 and many other sets that had "National Distribution" would ever be considered not a "true" E-card set (not even taking into consideration all the non-sports E-sets that also fit even the strictest definition of an E-set).

Default Small-minded

I wonder if the author was attempting, poorly and incompletely, to indicate that the E210 set is the only 'E' series set from the 1920's and later that is the smaller size, as seen in the E90-1 to E107 sets from much earlier.

Of course that is conjecturing on my part from a very broad statement. I would also like to add that 1922 T231 Fans Cigarette cards are the only true 'T' set.
