Default Ted Williams Signature - Look Good?

Would like to get some opinions of those who know his signature better than I. I apologize for the poor scans but it's the best I have. The signature is purported to have been obtained in person in the early 1950s. Thanks!

Really tough to say, the scan is a bit out of focus

Is the “a” closed and the W does look a bit high for his signature

any history or how you got the card?

Jimmy

Thanks for the response. It was purchased from a family who told me they had obtained the card in person in the early 1950s. They also had a ton of early sox signatures, partial balls, team balls, other 1949, 50, and 51 signed cards from red sox players, and original tickets.

To me that looks like a clubhouse signature. The slant, character formation, and letter spacing seems off to me.
