If you have a wrapper and the set has numbered inserts with stated odds, you can do some math and back into some approximate numbers. They will be off on some of the bigger sets since the insert odds varied by product, usually better in hobby packs than retail, and some of the jumbo packs.

That won't work for most of his rookie cards.
The 94-95 signature rookies all have the production number on the card.

Between a whole lot and a buttload of everything in 1993.

Plus 120K Stadium Club Murphy sets.

The Topps Marlins/Rockies sets were 10,000 and 6,000 if I remember correctly? Rockies printed 5000, sold out, and printed another 5,000.

Marlins--trying to confirm but the 6,000 number is what I remember.

I'll do more digging later. I love Jeter rookies.

Pulled up Jeter's 1993 Topps Pop Report on PSA. Numbers check out.

Almost 20,000 1993 Topps Jeter rookies have been graded. 700 Rockies, 500 Marlins. Again, this is strictly based on PSA's report and eBay searches.

There are only 8-10 Jeter Rockies/Marlins available at any time compared to about 1200-1500 base Topps or Topps Gold rookies.

Some really terrible math and prognosticating has me at a minimum 250,000 base Topps cards produced.
