Jeff, nice pickup of "The Climbers" PC!

I got this Base Ball Stars composition notebook in last week's MHCC auction. I just had to have it to go with my Base Ball Stars notebook with a different design, but with the same pic of WaJo, that I showed in post #124 above.

Cool notebook and other things above. I am a fan of the notebook covers as they are relatively affordable compared to cards and have great pictures and lithography.

Is it any wonder why women have been known to flee my home in the middle of the night. Above my headboard, is an oversized photo of Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson used on the sets of Ken Burns’ documentary, "Baseball." This photo was seen in the background during interviews with Burns and “Buck” O’Neil.

I bought this golf club several years ago and would welcome any information that anyone may have. I have not assumed that it was used by Walter, but has anyone seen others?

Won this 1924 snapshot from the Johnson estate in the most recent Love Of The Game auction. Pictured are George Mogridge, Walter Johnson, Joe Judge, John Martina, Roger Peckinpaugh, and Pinky Hargrave with their children. As a side note, the highlight of the Philly Show for me was talking with Al whose passion for the hobby and the game was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive.

Hi Jay, nice 1916 Herps card of WaJo! Guess I'll just have to find another OJ you don't have (fat chance of this happening!)!

There are 2 poses of WaJo in the 1921 American Caramel set known as E121 - Series of 80, a hands-at-chest pose and a throwing pose. From Rhett's extremely informing article re the E121 and related sets that appeared in the Fall 2011 issue (#26) of Old Cardboard magazine, I learned that E121-80s can be found with 4 different back printing variations. Also, the printing on the backs of most E121-80s reads from top to bottom (when the card flipped over), but some cards have been found with back printing that reads from bottom to top.

The WaJo hands-at-chest pose has been found with the Type 1 and Type 4 back printing variations, as shown below. The back printing on the Type 4 reads from bottom to top.
