No 1948 Bowman packs were known to exist until now (and more)

1948 bowman box and packs
do those packs look weird?
it looks like the wrappers are surrounding a box? the edges are sharp and distinct...how many cards are in the pack? 3 pieces of gum? story doesnt say..it does say partial box...it looks full to me |

I thought that, too, although my guess is that they've put some filler underneath the packs to make it look full for the purpose of a better publicity photo.

48 bowman
Strange...3 pieces of gum
How do they know that unless u open it? Packs look perfectly flat on top? Wrapper gum and cards all the same size? |

I'd buy them just for the gum.

Those are some of the weirdest packs I've ever seen. They look so thick.

Unopened 1948 Bowman baseball=My Holy Grail!
Ted Z. told me that the gum is the same size as the 48' cards, albeit
thicker. He opened them as a kid! Also the article states, packs have 5 cards and 3 sticks gum? Ted Z. will know, hopefully he will set us straight on the facts. Amazing to see such an awesome find. I have dreamed/ wondered for many years if unopened 48' baseball packs existed. Stoked to see them! Last edited by JRO$!(; 05-16-2017 at 07:03 PM. |
