When I first seen the pic, Tony, I thought of this guy, Doug Young, but after looking at them back and forth, I am not so sure anymore?
If you need me to, I can go through my 30's and 40's Beehives to see if I can find him in those.

P.S. You should post this in the Hockey section near the bottom of the site below Post War.

Hairline is definitely different. Widows peak gives it away.

I think he is wearing a NY Americans jersey if that is true should make it easier to narrow down.

Quick search says not Americans and looks to be an all star sweater but what year I cannot tell they used that design a number of years all the way into the early 1970's.
