Default Will auction for food

Leon has graciously given me permission to post this on the main forum. I am auctioning a T3 Turkey Red Bob Bescher (checklist back), seen below, with all proceeds going to a food bank or similar facility.

I would grade this card conservatively at VG+, and I believe it could be slabbed as a 4, but make no guarantees. The auction will end at 11:59 pm Phoenix time (MST) on 12/16/2020. Bidding starts at $50, and any increment is acceptable. I will post a scan of the back in awhile.

The winner will pay the full winning bid price to a local charity of his/her choice that is providing food or lodging for people, and will send me (or post here) some proof of having done so. I will pay the shipping.

Alternatively and if you prefer, you can send me the winning bid price and I will donate all of it to the St. Mary’s Food bank here in Phoenix, and will provide you with proof of having done so. If it makes any difference, I can send you the receipt for tax deduction purposes.

Good luck and Happy Holidays.

This is a great idea and very generous.

I don’t want the card, but I will donate $100 on top of whatever the card sells for.

Todd, PM me your PayPal address when the auction ends and I will contribute

Awesome Todd! Great idea. I, too, donate quite a bit to St. Mary’s Food Bank here in Phoenix each year, this year a little more than others. Hunger is no joke.

Thanks for the good gesture and thanks to Leon for allowing this to be put on the main board.

$300, to the People's Place food bank here in Kingston, NY, where 1 in 4 families are now experiencing food insecurity.

Default Many thanks.

Just a reminder that the auction ends tonight right before midnight. The current high bid is $425.00, and there are some who have offered to donate on top of that. Thank you for your generosity.

I will pm my paypal info to those who wish to donate through me to St. Mary’s food bank here in Phoenix. Let me know if you need a receipt, as I will probably have to make multiple separate donations to get individual receipts. Of course, you are always free to give to your own community food bank or others that are of interest; there certainly are many out there who could use the help. It’s been a rough year, as you know.
