Default T-206 Pricing Info on Matty and McGraw

Posted By: Jon Canfield

Hey guys - Just a quick question on pricing. I just got these two T-206's back from SGC today and I was curious what the approximate value is. There is a potential buyer for them, as well as a potential trade that arose and I'm not sure what to ask... The Matty I'm pretty sure about as it's a standard card - SC 350 back. However, the McGraw has a Sovereign 460 back and I'm not sure what premium, if any, that adds. The McGraw is overall a beautiful card except for one crease in the bottom left corner. If not for that, a sure 60+ as the corners are pretty nice, especially the right side (The scan is blurry but the corners are pretty darn sharp). Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Default T-206 Pricing Info on Matty and McGraw

A Mathewson black cap in SGC 20 recently went for $160 on ebay. An SGC 10 should go for less than that and, unfortunately, yours is missing a piece, which will bring the price down below a better condition 1. IMO, south of $100.

Other McGraws (different poses than yours) in 3/40, have recently brought between $110 and $145. I would think the Sovereign back would bring the high end of that range, maybe more if someone really wants the Sovereign back.

Hope that helps.

Default T-206 Pricing Info on Matty and McGraw

I think Patrick is on target in his evaluation.
I do worry about the chunk out of the Matty; i'd think that would make
it in the 75-100 range.
I also worry that the crease on the McGraw showing through to the back
makes the card low VG, if not high G---the corners make me lean toward
the former. Having said that, I'd think that the McGraw is around 125.

best

barry

Thanks guys. I just wasn't sure if the Sovereign back mattered all that much. I used the multiplier on the T206 Museum and figured I'd get the opinions of you all instead!
