Default Beckett FLIP wrinkle

Anyone have any ideas how to get a scanner to not make a flip look like it is wrinkled/waves... PSA flips on the same scanner look fine.
My guess is because it is reflective?

its because its metallic and the way your type of scanner, with its specific lighting element reflects off of it.

I know there are some "scanner" phone apps that you wave your cellphone camera over a picture and it stitches them together. Maybe that would be a good solution to this. Not sure it matters, but did you have the lid open or closed when you scanned?

Yea I had the lid open in almost complete darkness...maybe I will just use a iPhone pic for my Beckett jumbo slabs. Thanks for the input.

I put a soft black cloth over the tops of the cards when I scan BGS slabs and that seems to cut back on the lighting issue. Which scanner are you using?

It is an 11x17 scan bed on a Xerox workcentre 5325 (office scanner) since the slabs are larger than a typical scanner can accommodate.
