Default Set Registry

Posted By: Anson

Now PSA, SGC, and GAI have registries. I happen to like GAI's idea the best, in that you can still register PSA or SGC cards. SGC and PSA force you to have your items graded by their own graders. While they might think it encourages more crossovers, it does prevent folks from wanting to participate. If you have an SGC card with a print mark, you wouldn't want to crossover to PSA and get qualifier tagged. Additionally, not that it's a huge deal, but you would lose the "first graded" tag to move over to one of the others.

While the registry isn't for everyone, it has sparked more interest in the hobby. I just wish that the big three would make it a little more user friendly.
