That is just when the EXTENDED period for bidding began (6:00 MST last night).

These things go on for hours and hours after the "end time"... and I can't tell from the website whether or not the extended bidding is still going.

I doubt it... but need to know. I "appear" to have been leading on my one item at 9:30 MST...

but did it continue after that??

Did you get anything good, JC?

Hopefully you didn't out bid me on the 1914 CJ Matty.

Id love to know who bid $3785(plus 10%) on the Indianapolis lot of 4 Old Judge commons and what were they thinking, and who the underbidder was and what were they thinking.I paid $800 for 3 of those cards in the lot in same shape recently ,and i can get the Myers in better shape for $300

John,

You're kidding, right? Over $4K for that lot? For some reason or other Corcoran is a fairly tough OJ to find these days. If that final bid price was correct then I think it's time to throw in the towel on OJ collecting (unless there was something really special about those cards).

I dont see anything special about the lot. That Corcoran is his most common variation,Glasscock is very easy to find as is Denny and you could get Myers cards in vg for $150 anyday of the week.I estimated the price to be about $1200 in the given condition and who knows if they will actually grade that way. There could be a little back damage that knocks them down to a 2 then you have less than $1000 worth of cards

I think OJs are starting to become a rich mans set and it might be time to move onto something else.Im think 75 topps

I believe that lot #3, the Harry Wright autographed cabinet, is the same one that popped up for sale earlier in the year from another company.

I heard that it may have originated from a library.

I recently traded emails with Lew Lipset and as far as I know he is still living ("still going")
As far as his business ("over") he still auctions excellent material and demonstrates the same dry humor, superior knowledge and sometimes questionable grading

I was shut out in Lipset's auction but am hoping for better luck in REA. If anyone on the board was the winner of lot #151, I'd be interested in any extra m116 blue background cards you might have....

Thanks in advance,

Brian
