AWESOME! Thanks for posting all of the scans as well!

You've got a very impressive set, in great condition as well. I had tried to go for the set at one point but once I got to 15 or so cards, realized it was going to be a big undertaking, and put it on the backburner. So this is great to see a completed set. Nice work!

Scott

Joe,
Nice set. Did you pick up the rest raw or did you pick up one of Mike's extra sets? Either way, nice job.

Jason....

Overall - I believe half of my copes set or so was picked up raw through eBay.

I picked up a few more through other collectors (going by memory).... maybe 5 or so.

I won a set with Mike (a low grade set) and we split up cards.

I also upgraded a bunch of cards through purchasing / trades with Mike
(I obtained both raw and graded cards from Mike)

I think I have like 5 or 6 different card extras....
maybe I should start set 2

If I may give an eBay'ish recommendation....

Mike D was awesome throughout the transactions. Top notch.

He gets high recommendations from me.

Joe,

So what are your plans now? Are you going to focus on anything else golf related? Are you going to continue to upgrade the set, when possible? I still need a #2 Tom Morris card, so if you come across an extra one, please keep me in mind. I don't want you to start hoarding them! I know Mike still has at least one, but it is tied up in his extra set.

Mike D. and I have done a number of transactions over the last couple of years, and they have all gone smooth. I too would recommend him.

Later,
Jason

Jason,

Admittedly - #2 Old Tom might be my favorite golf card of all golf cards.

I am sure I would bid if I saw another one come available.....
but, especially if it is not an upgrade for me, I don't mind stepping aside for you - just email me ahead of time.

I have stepped aside many times for many people. The only situation that bothers me is when I am asked to step aside - and the other person does not bid nearly as strong as I would have and he does not win the card. Then - neither of us get the card.

Regards,
Joe

Nice set Joe, well played. Golf clap. It's hard to pick a favorite from that set, I do like the J.H. Taylor a lot though...and the Jr..

Joe,

one of the best sets I have seen all year, real tough to get even one of these cards in some of these conditions.
