Default a decent PSA holder for N cards

Posted By: Keith O'Leary

I just posted this on the CU forum, hopefully it will get some attention.

With the popularity on N cards growing in leaps and bounds, isn't it about time PSA designs a holder that doesn't need a condom to keep the card semi stabile inside the slab?

Geesh, even the very popular sets (N28, N29, N162, N172, N184) that include baseball get no respect let alone the popular non baseball sets (N2, N19, N76, N88, N222).

A holder is LONG overdue, its time to stand up and be heard.

I wholeheartedly agree. And how about something other than condoms for caramels? My e-cards in PSA holders feel like Rodney Dangerfield: No respect. Maybe it is time to cross them over.

Great post Keith. I have spent several fruitless hours via email and phone calls with PSA about this subject. They want to be paid $10 per card for an "upgrade" to the correct holder. I said "an upgrade"? "How much is it for doing the job right the first time"? The response was well they were out of the "other" holders and these were the best they had. Outstanding! Some of these cards are in the 4-5 figure range and they just dont seem to get it. One supervisor finally agreed to do it for free but still will charge insurance back and forth. I will just wait to do it at a show i guess.

I didn't know they even had them. I have never seen them.

is the reason that I was given. That is the cost to develop a new plastic insert size for The typical E cards. Baging them when they are out of the correct plastic insert is just plain wrong. They get away with it because there are so many cards slabed in baggies and people are used to it. I am crossing 200 +/- PSA E cards to SGC right now.

Ten thousand dollars sure sounds like $10,000.00. But to a company it should simply be good business judgement. Otherwise there may be less business to judge.
