i recently purchased a national league baseball at an estate sale. the ball is in excellent condition and has the original box, which lists john heydler as league president and is dated 1918. can anyone give me an idea as to the rarity and collectibility of this item? thank you

John Heydler was National League president from 1918-1934. You probably have a early-mid 1920's baseball. I can tell you better if I had a scan of the ball and box. Though not overly rare, they are highly collectible and desirable. I would be interested in the piece if you wanted to sell.

Is the ball clean? Nice and readable? Depending on condition of box and ball you could be looking at a $50-800 baseball.

Please read the forum rules. This forum is for baseball cards unless you are an everyday participant. That is the reason I deleted 2 of your threads. If you have any questions please email me at lluckey@moredirect.com. Not trying to be mean but the rules are there for a reason....thanks
