Default M116 backs

Does each M116 card come with only one specific back or is it possible to have two or more different backs for the same front?

Check the old threads on this topic. There are two common backs and a third ("300 subjects") for later issued cards. For the most common cards in the set, I believe they may exist with all three backs. The toughest cards come with the tough back only.

I have a Eddie collins with a "over 300 subjects" on the back and also a Eddie collins with " When you think of baseball think of sporting life" back. The thing is, there were so many cards issued to subscribers back then that new things are coming up every year. The rarest are the "over 300 subjects" because they were issued at the end of the season. I have seen many different issues in the last few years.

"The thing is, there were so many cards issued to subscribers back then that new things are coming up every year"

Can you explain further what you mean by this? I thought the number of different backs in the set was only 3 - and that the different players and backgrounds were all known already. Are you saying different player/background/back combinations are showing up now and then that weren't previously known to exist in those combos?

He is making a reference to the two new player/team combinations that were recently confirmed- Seymour-Baltimore and one other

The other new one is Bates Cincinnati. The common Bates has him with Philadelphia.
