Default Show your Awards-Trophies,Medals, Rings

I thought it would be nice to see those that have World Series Trophies, MVP, Cy Young, Silver Bat, Golden Glove, Superbowl rings/trophies, NCAA, NHL or any other awards given to players or teams. I have the actual award given to Carl DeRose in 1947 when he pitched the first minor league perfect game for the Kansas City Blues. The sad part is he blew out his arm after that feat and never pitched again.

I also have a real Superbowl XIX ring given to personel after Montana (49ers)beat Marino, and a players NCAA Basketball champ medal from 1959? when Cal won (mabye pics another time) . Please show ONLY REAL AWARDS no salesmen's sample stuff.

As a Cubs collector, these are two of my favorite player awards:

Ron Santo's ring from his final All-Star Game (1973).

Dave Kingman's "Babe Ruth Crown", given to him in 1980 in honor of his amazing offensive season in 1979 with the Cubs.

Default Another killer piece

Dave Kingman's "Babe Ruth Crown", given to him in 1980 in honor of his amazing offensive season in 1979 with the Cubs.

There is somethig about Kingman,Babe Ruth and crown that all work together symbiotically. This is an AMAZING piece I think.

Rob -- that crown is absolutely incredible!

Here are two Silver Glove awards, the minor league equivalent of the Gold Glove:

1961 Tim Thompson
1957 Johnny Blanchard

Here's Bobby Knoop's Gold Glove Award from 1966. Similar to Greg's posts, it's a classy mid-century modern design that I much prefer to today's more gaudy version.

Also, Charlie Gehringer's Figural Tiger Desk Set, awarded to him by his Teammates in 1940.

Default Nolan Ryan Golden West Broadcasters Record Breakers Trophy 1974

I've always thought that this was a pretty neat item because I know quite a bit about it's background. This is an Adirondack Nolan Ryan "Record Breakers" trophy bat that he was given on June, 11 1974 by Golden West Broadcasters. For those that didn't grow in in Southern California, Golden West broadcasters was the radio station that was owned by cowboy singing great and former owner of the California Angels, Gene Autry. This trophy was given to Nolan Ryan for his record breaking 1973 season that included two no-hitters and setting the all-time single season strikeout record of 383 K's. Ryan's 383 K's passed Sandy Koufax's strikeout standard of 382 that he set in 1965. I got this trophy bat directly from Nolan Ryan's family about 7 or 8 years ago.

This one is coming up in the next Heritage Signature Auction in April. One of the coolest trophies I've seen in a while:
