Default 1957 Sherman Error

I keep seeing the 1957 Sherman card with just the position listed as an error. It's my opinion that these have been airbrushed. How could the entire position/team be missing and then half? I've never seen these surface til fairly recently with different degrees of missing lettering. What is everyone's thoughts on this.

I think so, at least some one mentioned it to me. My error was bought from someone 25 years ago as part of a childhood collection. I am 110% sure it's good as I worked with the guy too. However, the entire position team was missing. You'll see other with a partial lettering etc.
For years thus was a $1 card with the lettering, wouldn't take much to accumulate s bunch and try.

Those are usually really easy to spot because it almost always leaves an indent in the card. Problem is there are a few chemicals that will easily remove ink on a card. There is even a special pen you can buy that does it.
