Default M116 Cobb Young rare back value

Posted By: Andy

I am thinking about selling or trading two cards that have been in my collection for a while. I have a Cobb pastel PSA 6 with the over 300 back, and the Cy Young pastel PSA 6 with black back. Have not seen one auction recently, any idea on value? I saw previous posts give a 20%-50% premium for these backs, I didn't realize it was that significant.

The blue back is much tougher than the black back on the Cy Young M116. The guide indicates differently but ask any set collector which card is tougher. The Blue is tougher and more valuable. There was a PSA 6 Young at the PA show in a 6 holder for 1900 with a black back.

Some pay more for the 300 back on the Cobb but I am not sure of the value there. My 2 cents

M116 Cobb PSA 6 with "over 300 subjects" back had a buy-it-now on ebay about a month ago. It was bought for around $3,200.
