Andrew,

The images you posted are very hard to view. I might be able to help as I added a couple to my master list in the last year (two I think confirmed) but I cannot make out your list.

Joshua

PS Edited to say Andrew not Turner (so used to replying to Turner
PPS Images better now. Thanks

If they can be sent to my email in a larger form I can help with making them larger on the screen.

Here is the thread I started on the Hoffmans including the breakdown of backs I found online using cardtarget:

I no longer own some of these and have thought about removing the pictures from my Flickr (so as not to confuse others into thinking I own them still), but didn't want to ruin the original thread. I would suggest, though, that if you want any of the photos you should save them as I may finally clean out my Flickr.

Default Excel Spreadsheet Of List

I hesitate to say this, but I have this list as an Excel spreadsheet. Someone on Net54 sent it to me several years ago and can't even remember who, or I'd give them proper credit. Is there a place where it could be posted so that it could be downloaded by anyone who wanted it? If not, you can just send me your email address and I'll send it to you.

I got Cicotte marked. Can everyone not see the page? I can try to resend if needed.

Do not have time to look at the whole list but if you want any Cubs confirmed, have all but 4 possible cards of the possible 151 front backs. Send me a list and I can check.

What caused there to be so many question marks in the Hindu column? I have never seen nor read of a Daubert Hindu.

Are you referring to the following from that link? I'm just wondering why there is a question mark for Daubert Hindu (and some other players) but not all.

"Another possible tie is very strong based on the amount of Hindu to Drums confirmed. I think Hindus were stopped during printing due to court issues surrounding the ATC issue. I have often wondered if the way they were distributed was a very simple process of all the fronts being printed and then these went to this factory and those went to that factory. That’s where the backs are applied and why some say 400 and some say Assorted. I base that on the master list showing certain cards only available at certain factories. Also if you remove all the type set on the back the entire boarder, company and factory name is etched. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a copper plate inscribed with the boarder, company name, and factory #."

I see that there may be a pattern with other players, who do have a Hindu printed. But then shouldn't question marks be inserted for Piedmont 42 where none exist but it is possible (like Daubert). I'm not suggesting to insert more question marks. Quite the contrary. The question marks are very questionable.

No Piedmont 42’s can not be found on any Hindu backed players. Also this list is only confirmed cards. Some possibles and verifies haven’t been marked. There may be some cards that got my missed on my list. As time goes I will catch back up. I owned 2 copies of the Pied 42 Bergen and didn’t have it in my written list. Ron Korn@ki gathered info for a master list site and then disappeared. I just referenced that list till finding out it’s gone now. The list above should help till we have a chance to get a master site back up. Something I have thought about especially now

Andrew, to me it looks like The D on Gregs factory 42 has a couple
of excess ink blobs on the D similar to this Piedmont factory 25 that
has a blob on the left of the D and a piece of the right side has an area
where the ink was blocked giving it the appearance of a B.

and a PB with excess ink inside the D

and here's a few more PB B variations

I guess it should be called D over B variation since the D was the corrected letter.

I have never seen a fully connected B under the D. All have been broken in the middle and the curve of the D is noticeably straighter. If you look at your PB example you can see what looks to be the upper curve of the B extending past the D typeset. It was probably easier to make a small change to a letter than it was to remove and reset rows of type

Andrew - Check out this thread from a while ago:

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=150383

Collins Yellow Elephant exists with a HLC reverse. According to my notes, this makes it available on Piedmont 25 and HLC to date.

Default Sovereigns

I’m not at home right now to get you scans, but Wiltse (2 ears) and Meyers, both have Sovereign backs. I have the a complete run of 123 of them, and pretty sure that’s the final number.

Cheers,
Geno

Thanks for the list, Andrew. Do you recall how Bridwell Piedmont 42 came to be checklisted? Do you have a scan, or have you seen one before? Thanks for the info, Rob

Bridwell was owned by me and sold off a few years back.

Okay, thanks. I'm working on a Bridwell back run, and the p42 is the only one I don't have.

It is a very very tough FB combo. Good luck on finding one for your run. Maybe another board member has one they would part with.

If someone would be kind enough to provide me a printable and readable T205 front/back master spreadsheet for old eyes I will go thru my 291 T205 cards for comparison. I could then use it as a checklist and I would make mine available to others and note which cards are raw. This way it may be possible to begin compiling a centralized shared database for us hard core collectors of raw cards that are not included in slabbed and graded population reports. I know there are some very nice cards that have not been graded...I own very few and have never submitted one.
Thanks in advance,
John

I am currently working on updating the whole list. Not as fast as it should be with a few new confirmed backs and variants. Using an excel spreadsheet and then will screen shot them and upload to board. I will replace the existing list shown above and just update the header and body info in this thread rather than make another thread and add to the confusion. Thank you for being patient.

Everything before this post has been updated on new list if necessary.

Still needing a lot of Hassan backs verified so feel free to post any that you have along with any others that are needing updated.

Are there any other cards that need to be addressed in the list? I know there has to be a couple somewhere.
