I just recently found this website about Hoy,very interesting and i think the book theyre putting out will be a great read. Its amazing how well known he is among deaf people.I have a deaf friend who attends RIT college and she knows nothing about baseball but she knew who he was and knew the story about the umps using hand signals for Hoy.The sites located at:

Default dummy hoy website

Posted By: Julie Vognar

I became aware of this website over a year ago--I also ordered the book, which hasn't come. I DID get the "keepsake" pin, which is attractive. Information on website is also interesting.

I got to know Steve Sandy years ago (and in fact gave him the last Dummy Hoy card I was to have for 10 years! I MEANT to xerox it for him, but it was so beautiful out, and the Colosuem ballpark looked so beautiful--i just dropped it in the envelope with my letter.)

Warning on ordering the book, though. It's been--oh, at least 1 1/2 years...
