Default Show some love for Bazooka Joe

Any Bazooka collectors out there? I never really liked these as a kid but grew to appreciate them--mostly because of the player selection and for sentimental reasons. Let's see some please (sorry for the boring blank backs--these were scanned in long ago).

Default More to come....

I have been collecting Bazooka boxes for years. I LOVE them! Will post more scans soon. Would love to buy more from 1959-1964 if anyone has them and willing to consider sale. Enjoy.

I was wondering the same thing. I didn't know that anyone had bothered to make fakes of the Bazooka cards. Is the cardboard a different color?

I truly feel that the 59 bazooka set is the best set ever made. I have sold off all my 50's and 60's topps cards just so I am "ready" to purchase them, should the appear at the right price.

Outstanding Howard. Can you share with us what some of the comments say on that '61 Baseball sheet?

Default Many of them are sadly not mine

I have mentioned in other posts, I save images from various sources of stuff that I am into. Many of the scans are not items I own - some I was competing for in past auctions and lost. Some happily I do own. I have always had a special place in my heart for Bazookas - especially uncut sheets and complete boxes. My focus has been on my favorite player Roberto Clemente. I have at least 1 box from every year he was featured except for 1960 - which has been at the top of my want list for many years. On a side note, something that Larry taught me about was that from 1960-1967 there were 2 size variations on the bazooka boxes. A 20 piece box and a 25 piece box! I do not know if all players were made in both sizes. It could drive you crazy (it has - me) trying to find all the size variations. I am still looking for the following Clemente's:

1960 - both
1964 - 25 piece
1965 - 25 piece
1966 - 25 piece
1967 - 25 piece

And the following complete boxes:

1959 - Any
1960 - Any
1961 - Any
1962 - Most
1964 - Most
