Default Interesting Ruth photo from 1934 Japan Tour

There is a really interesting photo album of for auction in Japan right now:

http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/j...ion/n183544238

It has 128 photos taken in the 1930s, mostly of random stuff (family, soldiers, bridges, scenery, etc). But several of them were taken during the 1934 American all stars tour, and there is a beauty of a picture of the Babe sitting in the dugout.

Bidding is up to 96,000 Yen (about 1,000 US$) at the moment, its quite the interesting find.

Yeah, that's pretty cool. Thanks. Obviously most of us wouldn't have seen that in 1000 years.

Really? This makes sense for ongoing auctions in the US, but who would have actually seen this auction in Japan? I for one am glad he posted it.

That unwritten rule strikes me as a lot of BS. Cmon. You want the item pony up. The Collecteable app is in the business of "outing" auctions. Is that s bad thing. I don't think so.

I took Robert's comment as sarcasm, but if serious, I think there should be some allowance for auctions that are in another language and probably wouldn't turn up in a Google search even if I could figure out how to enter Japanese characters, let alone figure out how to register, bid, communicate with the seller, pay, and get them to actually deliver it to me. As far as I'm concerned, if the OP isn't going after it himself, he deserves a finder's fee if he can facilitate anyone else here even bidding on it, let alone winning the thing.

Apologies for breaking any unwritten rules, i am new to the boards and wasnt aware of that.

I just thought it was something folks here might find interesting, I have no personal stake in the item, its just something I came across and thought "oh, neat."
