Default Question for Dr. Muchinsky (and anyone else, for that matter)

Posted By: Rob D.

Even as I type this I realize it's probably fair to ask for an opinion based solely on a scan -- but I'm going to do it anyway. I do not have this pinback in hand, so I can't answer any questions regarding the back. I know that I've never seen one like it, and it's not listed in Baseball Pinback Buttons.

Was wondering Dr. Muchinsky's thoughts and whether anyone has this pin or a similar one in his or her collection.

Thanks,

Rob

Rob,

M-F, 8AM-5PM, it's Dr. Muchinsky. All other times and days it is Paul. OK?

No, this pin is not in my collection, nor have I seen it before. Like you, would love to see the back. An oddity with Cleveland Indians pinbacks (more so than probably any other team) is the variety of colors in which they were made. Most teams issued pins in the primary color (e.g., Dodgers blue, Phillies red, Orioles orange, etc.). I've seen Cleveland Indians pins not only in red, but blue, green, and brown. Most unusual.

Take two aspirin and email me in the morning.

Thanks for the input, Paul.

If you don't mind, could you e-mail me your e-mail address?

Thanks,

Rob and Paul,

Received my examples this AM.

The backs are modern (modern sping-pins).
No manufacturer. No union stamp.
Each has lite rusting around (a brass) rim.

Without knowing what I'm talking about....I'm guessing c1970s/1980s?

Will eagerly look forward to your (much more educated) opinions.

Have a good afternoon, Gentlemen..

Edit: for clarity + spelling
