Default A Mother’s Day Memory

About ten years ago, Richard Masson, myself, and my younger son made a trip from the LA area to Santa Barbara to view the Dreier Family collection. It was Mother’s Day, but Chad and Doug took several hours from their wives to personally show us around the museum and let us view their amazing collections up close. It was an experience I will never forget so on this day I’d like to reach out to Doug and his family and wish them well, and to give a tip of the hat to Chad who left us in 2018. He was a great collector and an even better human being.

Nice story, Jay. Chad was awesome. I had the privilege of having a tour also. He, as well as Doug (hey Doug, if you read this) and Ginni were awesome hosts for the several hours I was there.

The life size Shaq was pretty cool...

Here I am at their museum swinging a Ruth bat. I still had a little hair on the sides. This must have been approximately 20 yrs ago.
