Hi guys,

I know I'm new to this forum, and hope you'll take pity on me, as I really don't know anything about baseball cards (I am learning, albeit slowly.)

My local auction house does an auction every weekend. Last week they had a bunch of baseball cards for sale that I passed on because I knew nothing about them.

They also have a website where they post pictures, and this popped up today. Thought I'd run it by you all and see if it's worth going in to bid on. What do you think?:

BB misc.

I don't really see anything of value in that pic.

And why is the David Hyde Pierce autograph in a baseball display?

Nothing of value? There's a mini of the classic "Bo Knows" Nike poster! It's priceless!

the above was said in jest

Looks like a couple of team issued photos, including Tom Seaver as a White Sox. Not particularly valuable.

I don't recognize any of the autographs, although I wouldn't buy them even if I did, without knowing the complete history and then only from a respected seller. Even then, I'd be wary.

Looks like some sort of Bo Jackson photo underneath. Not sure if that is worth anything, but if it had a Nike logo on it and was some sort of "Bo Knows" store ad, that could be worth something (but that's purely a guess -- maybe the guys on the memorabilia board know).

Thanks guys! I am continually amazed at the depth and breadth of knowledge here and in the NS forum, as well as the willingness to help, and the tolerance towards a newb (as opposed to a noob!)

You post great stuff. I think we all appreciate good, pre-war posts, but the occasional OT from a regular poster is ok too. Glad you got a little help here. This forum has more knowledge on it than any place I have ever seen, relating to pre-war baseball cards....and many other things too...take care

It's Carlton Fisk. I can't tell whether there is an autograph on the photo.
