Default Free Comic Book Day

Free Comic Book Day is the first Saturday in May every year and my son and I always mark it on our calendar. We drive out to a small comic book shop in Whitby, Ontario and it's always a blast! Free food, free comic books and lots of people dress up too. Here's my son Nolan with some of his super hero buddies.

My 7 yr old and his best friend wanted to go. Each got about 15 free book. He is now making his own, about his friends in 2nd grade. Fun stuff.

Me and 2 of my kids also went yesterday, and each got about 15 comics also. The shop was also giving away the advertising posters they had received during the year. Unfortunately, it appears that the Walmart baseball pack searcher has competition in comics. An adult went through and took all the recognizable super hero posters, while the kids were trying to look through. Signs clearly said 1 per person.

Also made sure I spent some extra change while I was there.

My wife and I usually go to FCBD. I used to collect as a kid so it is a blast.
