19th century only auction--how'd you do?

I did ok: 1913 Fatima Pittsburgh team, W Matty, 1952 Durocher, 1954 Topps Williams #1.

The big ones got away. The 3 lots of T226 boxing cards pulled in nearly $23,000 (incl. 15% vig).

I am pretty sure I won one lot, though I will have to check to make sure. The days of getting a bargain with Seth's auctions are gone. I am happy for him, he does business the way it should be done. Too bad there aren't more like him in the hobby.

I was happy to get an upgrade to my N172 Ezra Sutton, but didn't feel like spending $555 for the N172 Hick Carpenter (even if he was the last great left-handed third baseman).

I thought there were lots of decent deals in comparison to other recent auctions. I picked up the N172 Lynch, harder to find script card, for a reasonable sum although it looks a bit overgraded at SGC40. I also picked up a pair of SGC80 Old Judges for ~$400 each after 15% buyer fee. I'm happy with that.

1887 N172 OJ Time Keefe (NY) SGC 50 - Nice HOFer
1910 E105 Mello Mint Jack Knight SGC 60 - Didn't have one

Pretty surprised that I won as many as I did.

I scored 1/0. That is, I found an OJ equivalent to the one I wanted from 19CO elsewhere. Actually, I found it, bid it, won it, payed for it, received it and enjoyed it for a week before the 19CO auction closed. Their auctions are way too long.

I note that the ghost image cards are still selling well. None are slabbed. I wonder how the grading services view ghost images.
