Default Who wants to play "Name That Brute"

So I finally got around to scanning some negatives that have accumulated over the last couple of years, and pull out this guy. The negative was shot by George Burke, and is dated February 1937 with Burke's assigned player ID code of 1002 (which unfortunately coincides with a gap in my compiled list of codes). He doesn't seem to resemble anyone on the 1937 roster, so I'm assuming a prospective player, but I can't seem to place him, which is doubly frustrating because this guy's mug would certainly stand out in a crowd! Any ideas...?

I love Burke's work. The amount of detail he was able to capture and the extremely shallow depth of field works PERFECTLY for his portraits. No idea who that is but it looks great!

No, I don't recognize him but I really like the effect that the focus has on the distinctive arches at the back of Comiskey Park. Beautiful soft, light contrast to his mug.
