Default 1930 Wrestling/Boxing Autograph Help

Anyone recognize this person, Larry Navarro? I presume he is either a wrestler or boxer, based on the notation on reverse, and the collection it was with. It was part of a large autograph collection, and kept in a stack near some other decent 1930's era boxing signatures. I tried researching different champions from 1930 but no luck. Not much there on the signature as he wrote it in print style, but hoping someone may recognize him so I can stop staring at it and wondering :-) Thank in advance for the help.

He is not a boxer. The only professtional boxer named Larry Navarro fought out of Los Angeles 1932-1937. He was a middleweight with a record of 5-16-1.

Thanks for the response Michael. I kind of had a feeling he must be a wrestler as well, based on the no gloves and the position he is kind of posed in. Perhaps he was just someone local.

Could not find anything on newspaperarchives.com on 1930 Larry Navarro, keyword wrestling. My suspicion is Lorenzo Navarro and Larry Navarro on Boxrec are the same person. May have been some hype about Navarro in 1930, as "Lorenzo" beat Billy Moore 8-15-1930 in Compton, then as "Larry" he beat Chick Morris 11-10-30, before he lost to Jack Willis 12-1-30 in Los Angeles. Certainly not conclusive, just a possibility. Great pose, and sig.

BTW, Always looking for Nick Daviscourt sigs.

Thanks for that info Ty. I may poke around a little and see if there is anything else I can find on Lorenzo Navarro. Thanks again for the research.

Definitely a boxer. I have never seen a wrestler use a stool before. Also, I don't know if wrestling ever had weight classes. Now days they are all heavyweights regardless of actual weight.

If the 1930 is prior to the professional record, it's most likely a picture of Larry Navarro as an amateur boxer.
