Default FT: 1977 Burger King SP #23 Lou Piniella Cards...

I have these very cool and rare #23 1977 Burger King Lou Piniella SP's for trade...

The ungraded ones are probably in the EX shape range with bumped corners, as you can see in the scans. No creases or anything like that. The other card is obviously a beautiful PSA 8.

These SP's were incredibly tough to come by back in the day, and for us Whopper-loving New Yorkers, there were many, many rumors swirling about as to why 'Sweet Lou' was seemingly omitted from the set. We found out after the season was over that he was apparently added only at the very end of the run, but none of my friends or I ever got one at BK. These cards have always been--and very much still are--virtually impossible to find!! There's maybe one(?) listed on ebay at the moment. Most people who collected them considered their sets complete without the magical #23.

The only difference between a regular Topps card and its BK counterpart is the number on back: #96 for his Topps card and #23 for this set. If you're unfamiliar with the Burger King cards or want to read a short, interesting piece on them, check out this article I ran across:

In case that link is dead, here's another piece...

If you're interested in trading for any of these guys or have any questions, LMK. I have a 1957-1972 need list I can PM to you, or...

I am always very interested in these:
• HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's and 60's, graded or ungraded
• Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle (especially their 1961 high numbers in high grade), Sandy Koufax, Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams & Roberto Clemente cards
• Tough to find errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's
• 1971 Topps Greatest Moments
• 1964 Topps Stand-Up HOF'ers (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1961-67 Topps high numbers and SP's
• 1963 Fleer BB stars and HOF'ers in high grade
• 1953 Bowman Color BB (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1954 Bowman HOF'ers
• 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1968 Milton Bradley HOF'ers
• 1972 Topps high numbers graded 9 or above (could possibly use some to fill holes in my FT thread)
• T-206's or other pre-war cards (possibly)
• I could also be open to a wide variety of other stuff. LMK what you have.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Overpaying yesterday is simply underpaying tomorrow.
