Default Man am I stupid...

When removing those little stickers that dealers always put on the holder...DO NOT...repeat...DO NOT use adhesive remover.
It completely ruins the case......Sgc's case anyways. I just found out the hard way. Now I need to send into Sgc for a reslab. Wouldnt be a big deal if it was just the $5 to reslab. Gotta cough up another $40ish for shipping and insurance. All for trying to get off a half inch sticker....PITA!

Sounds very upsetting. It could have been much worse if the fluid leaked onto the card and messed it up. Then you really would have been upset. I've found that the best way to get sticky price sticker residue off, is to use a piece of Scotch tape. You just keep sticking it down on the sticky part over and over again. The sticky tape pulls off the sticky residue on the holder left over from the price sticker. This works on CDs and DVDs too where they use that antitheft sticker around the seams. I use this method all the time on stickers.

I had that happen once. I tried to clean off the sticker residue on the back and some of the rubbing alcohol leaked into the case and turned by '54 Topps Teddy PSA 3 into a PSA 3 with half of the card under water.

Default solution

I use WD40 for anything sticky on a slab. It works great.
